Rossi won his eighth world title proving he is a World Champion. He won nine races and also had five second places and two third places, and broke the all-time premier class (MotoGP) record and won the most points ever achieved in the one season. 

Valentino Rossi has won with any bike and on any circuit. Going by the numbers, there's no question of his talent : 96 World championship race wins, 70 in the premier class category, 51 pole positions, and 147 times on the podium in a total of 207 competitions.
